Rihanna To Launch River Island Collection With London Fashion Week Catwalk Show

Back in July 2012 the news broke that Rihanna was to design a capsule collection with UK high street stalwart River Island. Since then we've had teaser after teaser from the Barbadian singer including a sneaky picture tweeted from the campaign shoot (starring Brit model Jourdan Dunn) and confirmation from River Island that the navy blue suede jumpsuit that RiRi stepped out wearing in November was a piece from her debut collection.

Now it's been confirmed that the star will unveil the range in full with an exclusive catwalk show at London Fashion Week. The invitation-only event will take place on February 16 and not only are we super excited to see Rihanna’s take on high street fashion, but also the show itself which is guaranteed to be a high profile affair.

RiRi herself revealed: "Launching at London Fashion Week is a dream come true for me. I have wanted to design my own collection for a long time and to present my collection for River Island alongside all of the other great design talent at LFW is a real privilege. I can't wait to see the reaction from my fans and the fashion press!"

Unfortunately for those desperate to snap up RiRi's debut design efforts, you won't be able to get your paws on the collection until March 5 when it launches internationally in River Island stores and online.
